Regardless of each individual's beliefs of HOW and WHY, the fact remains that many of our world's wonders are vanishing due to human action - or inaction. While this includes many of our natural resources and the beauty Mother Earth and nature holds and cradles, it also includes values, ways of life, saving sacred or safe space, and diverse communities and cultures of people.
Gary has lived his entire life as an advocate, champion, and spokesperson for Mother Nature, for water, for trees, for butterflies, birds, and bees, for native prairie, for clean air, for our national parks, for our breathtaking landscapes, and... for the American Farmer.
He sees the agrarian American Dream of "The Farmer" slipping away, devoured by commercial development and corporate agriculture. Gary's captured a number of farms and barns across the State of Iowa in Farm I - X featured below.
Many of these beautiful landmarks are either no longer standing or severely dilapidated - merely relics of a time that was.
